Will
the gathering be before or after great trouble / great tribulation?
"Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." (Matthew 24:29-31) "In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." (I. Corinthians 15:52) "And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt." (Daniel 12:1-2) "And when
ye shall
see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation
thereof
is nigh." (Luke 21:20) ... "Men's hearts failing them for fear,
and
for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the
powers
of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son
of
man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. (Luke 21:26-27)
Will the kingdom of God be setup before, during or after the fourth beast devours the whole earth? "Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible. This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass, His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay." (Daniel 2:31-33) ..."And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever." (Daniel 2:44) "And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom." (Daniel 7:20-22) "And he
opened his
mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his
tabernacle,
and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make
war
with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over
all kindreds, and tongues, and nations." (Revelation 13:6-7)
Will
the gathering be before or after the man of sin is revealed?
"No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." (John 6:44) "And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels," (II. Thessalonians 1:7) ... "When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day." (II. Thessalonians 1:10) "But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed." (Luke 17:29-30)..."I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left." (Luke 17:34) "Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God." (II. Thessalonians 2:1-4) "And I saw
thrones,
and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the
souls
of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and
for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither
his
image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads,
or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand
years.
But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were
finished. This is the first resurrection." (Revelation 20:4-5)
What are some of the things that will happen the day the Lord returns? "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (I. Thessalonians 4:16-17) "When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:" (Matthew 25:31-32) "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." (II. Peter 3:10)
God died for our sins. We need to repent, receive baptism in Jesus' name, receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost, and live in peace and holiness. We will not make it by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit of Christ. "Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood." (Acts 20:28) "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." (John 4:23-24) "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." (Romans 8:9) "So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God." (Romans 8:8) "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." (II. Peter 3:3-4) "These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." (Jude 1:16-21) "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." (2 Timothy 1:7) "If ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you." (From 2 Chronicles 15:2) "Let
your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such
things
as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake
thee.
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear
what
man shall do unto me." (Hebrews 13:5-6)
