The Bible And Homosexuality / Gay / Alternative Life Style / Civil Unions:

Across the USA, and the world many people celebrate gay pride day.  Many large corporations and apostate "churches" are recognizing or strongly considering formal acceptance of civil unions / same-sex marriages.  Many see this day as of unity and peace and draw comparisons to the civil rights movement of the 60's. Some say that God is love, so if you love everyone, you are pursuing the will of God. This thought is contrary to the word of God as listed in the paragraphs below.  God teaches us to love our neighbor, but does not teach us to love sin.

Note:  It is equally as wrong for heterosexuals to engage in immoral relationships [actions].  These iniquities are further provoking God to anger, and adding wrath to our nation:

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. (Romans 1:26-27)

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
(Leviticus 20:13)

In a similar way, Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding towns gave themselves up to sexual immorality and perversion. They serve as an example of those who suffer the punishment of eternal fire.  In the very same way, these dreamers pollute their own bodies, reject authority and slander celestial beings.  (Jude 7-8 (NIV))*



In a church with true believers in Jesus Christ, you can receive prayer, and the Lord will free / deliver you of your homosexual tendencies / immoral relationships.  The Comforter, the Holy Ghost can and will fill your need for love and compassion.  (The Spirit of Love will replace the spirit of lust.  The Lord will give you spiritual intimacy [instead of physical intimacy, if need be]).

If you seek Him, you will find Him.  If you walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, He will never leave you or forsake you (See Hebrews 13:5).

To begin your healing / deliverance, obey what the Apostles commanded in Acts 2:38:  Repent, get baptized in Jesus' name, and receive the Holy Ghost (The Promise).  There is nothing you have done that God does not know about.  He knew your whole life story before He was ever tortured and killed for you.   He has been waiting for you.  He is waiting for you.


"I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." (John 14:18)

"Therefore consider the members of your earthly body as dead to immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which amounts to idolatry.  For it is because of these things that the wrath of God will come upon the sons of disobedience, and in them you also once walked, when you were living in them." "Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the word implanted, which is able to save your souls.  But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves." (James 1:21-22 (NASB)) **

Consider looking up the definition for the words "lasciviousness", "sodomy" & "sodomite".  The Mosaic Law taught us to separate clean from unclean, and holy from unholy.  Everything belongs to the Lord.  He has the right to say what is right or wrong.  Using commonsense, one will know that unnatural intimate acts are unclean and unhealthy for the body [namely, bacteria]. 

Without question, sodomy [which includes homosexuality as well as unnatural acts performed by heterosexual couples] is unclean and unacceptable to the Lord. 


"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"  (1 Corinthians 6:19)

"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?  If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are."  (
1 Corinthians 3:16-17)

"Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin."  (James 4:17)

The scriptures below are small example of what the Lord does to those that practice such [without repenting].

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 
(Galatians 5:19-21)

And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.  (1 Kings 14:24)

And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.  And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.  (1 Kings 15:11-12)

And he brought out the grove from the house of the LORD, without Jerusalem, unto the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and stamped it small to powder, and cast the powder thereof upon the graves of the children of the people.  And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove.  And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba, and brake down the high places of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man's left hand at the gate of the city.  (2 Kings 23:6-8)

An angel informed Gideon of the deliverance that he and his people will receive through Gideon’s endeavors, with the Lord’s help (See Judges 6:11-16).  Gideon asked for a sign (See Judges 6:17).  Gideon prepared a gift for the angel (See Judges 6:18).  Preparation of a gift is an act of acceptance / belief.  After acting in faith, Gideon received a sign that he sought after (See Judges 6:21-22). 

After the Lord [through the angel] answered Gideon’s request for a sign, confirming His Word, Gideon was given command by the Lord to destroy some idols.  This is something Gideon feared to do, but knew it was the right thing to do. 

Gideon should not have needed confirmation and is not recorded requesting it for this task.  Gideon obeyed in faith, destroying the abominations.  When the Lord confirms His Word, we must to move with actions of faith / obedience.  Additionally, when we thrown down the altars of the enemy, the adversary will likely respond negatively.  But, if we keep our trust in God, we will prevail.

After obeying the Lord, Gideon’s enemies gathered against him (See Judges 6:33).  Gideon requested confirmation again from the Lord, and the Lord granted his request (See Judges 6:37-38). 

Note:  Gideon is not merely asking for confirmation without responding accordingly.  He responded in faith already by preparing the "meat offering" (See Judges 6:19) and also when he destroyed the idols (See Judges 6:28). 

Once again, Gideon humbly requested confirmation (which would be reconfirmation, confirming what was already confirmed).  He requested the sign be opposite of what happened previously, and the Lord did accordingly to Gideon’s sincere petition.

In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.  (2 Corinthians 13:1[b])

The Lord told Gideon He had delivered the enemy into his hand.   He allowed Gideon to receive more confirmation through the mouth of his adversaries.  One dreamed and the other interpreted the dream, foretelling Gideon’s victory (See Judges 7:9-11 and Judges 7:13-15).

Gideon once again acted in faith by worshipping the Lord (which is a sign of agreement) and also proceeded with the battle (another proof of agreement), not fearing the adversary’s threatened recourse.  Three hundred men going against a multitude likened to the sand by the sea side is something only a fool would do, unless acting in faith.  (The Just shall live by faith).  Gideon and his men with the help from the Lord prevailed.  (See Judges 8:10 and Judges 8:16-17).

The point in outlining this is to point out that the Lord will confirm His Word to those that ask, and move in faith when shown what the Lord desires.  The Lord has given His Spirit as well as His servants that He can use in a convincing way for those that are sincerely seeking Him and His ways.
